Summary[]
Makoto is assigned to be a bodyguard for an online content creator called 140 ★ Meteor. Said person is being targeted by a group called ToDaBaShi Destroyer Z who wants to beat him up on his 5th anniversary of content creation.
Plot[]
Tomomi and Zero-One educate a flustered Makoto on online-videos. One of the videos shown is of Kyōichi. Inquiring if online video making really is a lucrative business, Zero-One details that it's #1 on the most popular job list. ZettaMovie is the most popular video-sharing website and Zero-One details how it can be profitable to those who regularly upload on there. Curious as to know why Makoto is interested in all of this, Makoto tells Zero-One it's related to a job that was assigned to him. An online creator reached out to the G-Boys for a bodyguard and so Takashi assigned Makoto to him. This is why as preparation for the job, Makoto sought out Zero-One for information on online-video creation and Tomomi is a tag along. With his work done there, Makoto goes to meet his client.
Said client 140 ★ Meteor, gives a demonstration of making a video to Makoto by recording himself eating a raw onion. 140 then brings Makoto to his studio introduces his staff Cheadle Yokoi and Gong Saitou to him. Why he hired a bodyguard is because a group consisting of four men wielding hammers and gorilla masks called ToDaBaShi Destroyer Z. They're known for their destruction of property and disparaging of other content creators. One of them was 140, who retaliates by disparaging an ape at a zoo, this enraged ToDaBaShi Destroyer Z who plan to retaliate against 140 on his 5th year anniversary. For said anniversary he plans on doing more of his popular bits, which is wearing protective gear and rolling down a flight of stairs. For his 5th year anniversary, 140 will roll down an escalator at a prestigious building. Learning more about 140's motivation to make videos, Makoto contacts Takashi to have him accept 140's offer. He also decides to stay with 140 for the time being.
That night, Takashi contacts Makoto and warns him that ToDaBaShi Destroyer Z is watching 140's studio. When 140 hears about this, he tries to take a photo op, but is stopped by Makoto, who discloses the seriousness of the situation. As 140 goes to the bathroom with his smartphone, Makoto talks to Gong and Cheadle. He learns more about them and how tighter restrictions on psychical harm videos and the diminishing pay of content creation. Once 140 returns, Takashi contacts Makoto informing him that ToDaBaShi Destroyer Z fled the area before the G-Boys could make a move.
The following day, 140's car was vandalized by ToDaBaShi Destroyer Z. The group also attacked two members of the G-Boys sending them to the hospital. Later, Makoto contacts Zero-One who states at the time, no video was posted by ToDaBaShi Destroyer Z about the incident vandalism. On the other hand, the video 140 posted about the vandalism accrued 500,000 views already. Just then a video by ToDaBaShi Destroyer Z is uploaded where they threaten 140. Following his intuition, Zero informs Makoto to press Gong for more information. Afterward, at the Global Ring Gong informs Makoto that he's being laid off as the studio is downsizing. He also reveals that the two are in league with each other as their "conflict" is an act for more attention.
The next day, Makoto meets with 140, where he confronts 140 about his deal with ToDaBaShi Destroyer Z and warns him about messing with Takashi. In his Mom's store, Cheadle informs Makoto about 140's falling out with ToDaBaShi Destroyer Z over pay concerns. Now ToDaBaShi Destroyer Z is serious about going after 140 and Cheadle asks for Makoto's help. On the day of 140's 5th anniversary, Makoto decides to help out. At the sight of where the 5th-anniversary shooting is, ToDaBaShi Destroyer Z attacks Cheadle and then goes after 140, but they're stopped by Takashi and the G-Boys. Takashi tried to reprimand 140, but was stopped by Makoto who wants him to perform his trick which he allows.
In the end, 140 was hospitalized and suffered multiple fractures. Also, 140 was forgiven for his misdeed as he paid in full for the bodyguard services and as a special service, his studio can be used by the G-Boys whenever they like. For helping out with the case, Zero-One is delivered a bowl of ramen from Nao Ramen.
